What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and understand how pages are used.
Types we use
Essential cookies remember your cookie consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit. The site functions if you reject optional cookies.
Analytics cookies (only if you accept) help us see which guides are read most often, in aggregate. They are not used to sell advertising.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| cedarwharf_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject for optional cookies | 1 year | Cedar Wharf (first-party localStorage key) |
| _cw_analytics | Aggregated page-view counts for guide popularity (set only after Accept) | 6 months | Cedar Wharf |
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our banner. You can also clear site data in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may reset your consent preference on the next visit.
Third-party cookies
Embedded images may be served by image hosts (such as Unsplash or Pexels). Those hosts may set their own cookies according to their policies when images load. We do not control those cookies.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional analytics does not block browsing, forms, or appointment enquiries. Essential consent storage may still be used so we know not to show the banner again.
